Mower missed

To the editor:

To whomever drove into our yard at 1552 East 800 Road on Aug. 1 and broke into our tool shed and stole our Cub Cadet riding lawn mower, we hope that you enjoy mowing with the knowledge that you took something that didn’t belong to you.

Our gas-powered weed eater that you also decided you must have can be replaced easily.

If you would like the ignition keys to our mower that you stole, I will gladly meet with you. Otherwise would you mind terribly putting us on your list as one of your clients so that you can mow our yard every week? Hopefully you will have it in your heart not to charge us for your mowing services.

Or perhaps you would be willing to come out and mow the large yard with a push mower like my husband is now having to do. Hope some day that when you are retired and making every dollar count, that someone does you the same favor that you have done to us.

Obviously no one in your life ever cared enough about you to teach you that stealing is wrong. We hope that every time you mow a yard with our mower that perhaps your conscience will eat away at you.

Bob and Cathy Williams,
Lawrence
