Mother to Mother is looking for volunteer mothers to be paired with volunteers who provide companionship and advice. Mothers at all parenting stages and ages are welcome.

Mother to Mother also seeks new members for its planning committee or those looking to help design and implement a new fundraiser.

Immediate needs

¢ Headquarters Counseling Center is in need of volunteer counselors and will have informational meetings from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Gallery Room at Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. For more information, contact Ray Dalton at 841-9900.

¢ The Youth Volunteer Council is looking for young people ages 11 to 18 to assist with a project at the Humane Society from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Youths will be walking dogs and socializing cats at the shelter. For more information, contact Youth Volunteer Council at rhvc.org or 865-5030.

¢ Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care needs assistance with its annual appeal fundraiser. One to three volunteers are needed to print cards and to stuff and label envelopes. Contact Judy Bellome at 843-3738 or judyb@vna-ks.org.
