Blood drive to collect donations next week
The Community Blood Center plans to conduct a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Aug. 21 during the Auto Plaza Car Wash Days in the Donor Room at the Community Blood Center, 1410 Kasold, Suite 6.
Almost 28,000 people in the Lawrence-area needed blood transfusions last year, according to a press release from the Blood Center.
