Two arrested in alleged home invasion case

Two men were arrested in connection to an alleged home invasion incident Monday at an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Alabama Street, police said.

Officers were called to the apartment at 8:15 p.m. Monday, after a disturbance with weapons was reported, a police supervisor said, but the call turned out to be a home invasion. No one was injured.

Police were on scene for about three hours as they waited for a search warrant to get inside a nearby apartment where they searched for possible suspects and evidence.

A 36-year-old Lawrence man was arrested in the 2400 block of Alabama late Monday night on one count of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated burglary.

A 19-year-old Lawrence man was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 4800 block of Bob Billings Parkway. He was booked on two counts of aggravated burglary and one count of aggravated robbery.
