Voter events planned at Farmers’ Market
County residents will have an opportunity to register to vote and meet candidates for state and local offices today at the Lawrence Farmers’ Market.
The Voter Education Coalition has invited candidates for the Douglas County Commission and the Kansas Legislature to meet residents from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. today at the Farmers’ Market Community Booth at the southeast corner of the market, in the 800 block of New Hampshire Street. The League of Women Voters of Lawrence-Douglas County will be available to register voters at the booth during that time. Maps will be available for residents unsure about their voting district.
Additional election events are planned on Sept. 13 and Oct. 11.
