Iowa Street is now fully open to motorists as construction crews completed work Friday afternoon related to a waterline break.

Motorists had been encountering a reduced number of lanes near Iowa Street and Yale Road following a waterline break Wednesday.

Crews have repaved the street that was torn up to fix the waterline.

The 1950s-era waterline broke after high temperatures and dry weather caused the ground to shift, a city spokeswoman said.
