Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical identified the cause of a fire Monday at Royal Crest Lanes, 933 Iowa, as electrical failure. The damage estimate is $70,000.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ An employee of Academy Cars, 3000 Four Wheel Drive, reported that two Dell notebook computers were among several items stolen from the business. Estimated loss is $3,951. The incident occurred between Friday and Saturday.

¢ A 20-inch iMac computer valued at $1,399 was reported stolen from Kansas University’s Art and Design Building, according to a KU Public Safety Office report. The incident occurred between July 3 and July 31.

¢ The owner of Mass Street Automotive, 1843 Mass., reported a burglary and criminal damage overnight on Aug. 1. A dark blue Dodge Neon valued at $3,000 was reported missing. A cash register, safe drawers and a glass window were damaged. Total damage was estimated at $3,850.
