The ‘truth’

To the editor:

Have you thrown any stones at Obama? Maybe he sat in church and really just did not hear what his preacher said. Millions of people do that every week. Of course it is hard to believe one would not hear a preacher that so vigorously shouts his message, especially one that is full of passionate hatred.

Such anger and venom from a Christian pulpit or any other platform is revolting to us with Judaic-Christian upbringing. However, millions of us sit each week listening to our pastor, priest or rabbi spend 30 minutes saying sweet words of reassurance that we are good people. These are words we like to hear.

However, most of us know we are not perfectly good. We must stop to think.

Fortunately there are churches that offer more: the truth.
