Two leaders are named to foundation board
Two leaders of Lawrence companies were named to the board of the Douglas County Community Foundation Board of Directors, the foundation announced Tuesday.
Dolph C. Simons Jr., chairman of The World Company, which publishes the Journal-World, and Mike McGrew, chief executive officer of McGrew Real Estate, will serve three-year terms.
The Douglas County Community Foundation in the past eight years has distributed $2.5 million to promote health, youth, education, arts and culture, the environment and other human services in Douglas County.
