City vehicles

To the editor:

Since the city is so short on money and the cost of fuel is out of sight, I would like to say to all of the city employees that have the privilege of taking a city-owned vehicle to home and work, you should have to use your own private vehicle and use your own fuel and save the city’s fuel for city business only. Only on-call and emergency persons should take their vehicles home with them.

There are too many city office persons that have the vehicles for their own transportation to and from work. This is taxpayers’ money that could be better spent. You can drive your own vehicle just like the most of us and use your own money as well. There are a lot of bad streets that need repaired, and this could be a starting point for some savings.
