Annual Foundation Follies to raise cash for schools

Each year, dozens of Lawrence public schools educators, staff members and supporters show off their musical and dancing talents at the Foundation Follies. This year’s program includes Supt. Randy Weseman singing a Bruce Springsteen song, hard rock band ISS, a song about kids on cell phones and psychologists crooning about Old McDonald’s dysfunctional farm. All of the silliness translates to some serious dough for the Lawrence Schools Foundation – the program raises about $25,000 annually for the foundation. This year’s edition is at 7 p.m. today at Liberty Hall, 644 Mass. Tickets are $35 for the public or $25 for employees of Lawrence public schools. Call 330-2790 for more information.
