Ignored effort
To the editor:
Noticeably missing amidst the euphoria surrounding the recent national championship won by our Kansas Jayhawks was even a simple public “thank you” to the Kansas University band and Spirit Squad from the chancellor, the director of athletics or the head basketball coach.
The band and Spirit Squad did a fabulous job representing our team and the university. Their performance in front of a worldwide television audience was absolutely superb. It’s really shameful that students who work so hard and give so much of their own time to this university and this basketball team are ignored for their efforts.
