Lawrence Community Blood Center will play host to a blood drive Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

The Community Blood Center must collect at least 580 pints of blood every day to meet the needs of the Lawrence area.

The drive will last from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Jayhawk Auditorium of the hospital, 325 Maine.
