Nurse wins award
Sue McDaneld, Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department advanced registered nurse practitioner and charge nurse for the Family Planning/Sexually Transmitted Disease program, was awarded the inaugural Kay Kent Excellence in Public Health Service Award this week.
McDaneld has worked at the health department for 13 years and was nominated by Catherine Bird, public health nurse in the Family Planning/STD program.
