The birds started here a bit after 5. Pitch black, little optimistic creatures they were. My cat sensibly knows to postpone his watch until there is sufficient light to see them.Someone was out mowing before 9. Again, in 36 degrees. The grass has just turned, but not tall enough to mow yet!I think Kansas creatures are desperate for spring. I wonder how many families have their seedlings sitting on the dining room table, just waiting for it to be warm enough to start planting.

But the robins are singing, flowers blooming, buds on the trees, that pretty light green new growth on the bushes, and most of the broken glass has been picked up from the partying.
