‘Maximum Impact’ seats still available

Now that basketball season finally is over – and with a darn fine ending, thank you – James Bush is starting to field more calls for tickets to the leadership forum he’s organizing for later this month here in Lawrence.

Seats at the local showing of “Maximum Impact” – a leadership simulcast featuring sports personalities, corporate officials and leadership experts, with each projected onto a wall-size screen from Atlanta – are filling up, said Bush, the local organizer.

The event will include leadership tips, advice and other guidance designed to help people take their leadership skills to the next level. It is set for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Free Methodist Church, 3001 Lawrence Ave.

Cost is $59 in advance, or $79 at the door.

The event will include a lunch provided by Maceli’s and a live lunch-hour leadership discussion featuring Hank Booth, of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce; Charles Branson, Douglas County district attorney; Chris Davis, boys basketball coach at Lawrence High School; and Erika Dvorske, president and chief executive officer of the United Way of Douglas County.

Among the event’s local sponsors are Lawrence Central Rotary Club and First Management Inc.

For tickets or more information, contact Bush at 760-2031, or the church office, 842-2343.
