At the recent National Gay and Lesbian Task Force national conference, Executive Director Matt Foreman acknowledged that “We cannot deny that HIV is a gay disease.” For years, the gay community has been in denial that there is a deadly cause-effect relationship with their lifestyle. A casual review of CDC HIV/AIDS statistics will reveal this fact.

The Apostle Paul recognized this truth centuries ago when he said that the wages of sin is death. However, God has provided a solution to the sin problem in the person of Jesus. Paul also said that the Gospel is the power of God for salvation. Unfortunately, those in the gay community who are professed Christians and refuse to acknowledge their sinful lifestyle deny themselves of the power which they need to be victorious over sin. Christian gays can’t have it both ways any more than any of us who chose to live a life of sin. There is life in Jesus Christ if we want it, but we must deny ourselves.
