Winners of Focus Film Festival chosen

Lawrence High School Focus Film Festival Awards were announced Sunday at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H.

Students from area high schools competed in 12 categories. Winners were:

Best Documentary: “Taaluma” by Chelsea Alderman, Lawrence High School

Best Music Video: “My Only One” by Kelsey McClelland, Elsa Pageler, Adam Brumback and Sterling Bridgman, Olathe Northwest High School

Best Animation: “Clogg” by Meghan Lee, Nathan Helming, Brian Gradinohl, Brock Nicholson and Michael Staples, Olathe Northwest High School

Best Editing: “Time Code” by Erin Sampson, LHS

Best Cinematography: “To Kiss the Barely Conscious” by Chelsea Alderman, LHS

Best Story: “What Has Passed” by Weston Allen, LHS

Best Experimental: “Time Code” by Erin Sampson, LHS

Best Comedy: “Cody and Tommy’s Adventures: Episode #5” by Tommy Cottin, LHS

Best Horror/Suspense: “The Room” by Weston Allen, LHS

Best Drama: “What Has Passed” by Weston Allen, LHS

Fan Favorite: “Things We Can’t Say” by Tony Thompson, LHS

Best in Show: “What Has Passed” by Weston Allen, LHS
