Emporia resident wins $10,000 in contest
Jackson Hewitt Tax Service LLC announced that Kristi Briggs, Emporia, is winner of the company’s $10,000 Cash Giveaway.
Company officials presented Briggs with the check Thursday at a Jackson Hewitt office in Topeka. The contest had been open to residents at least 18 years old in Kansas and Missouri.
Briggs, a single parent, works as an administrative assistant at Emporia State University as she pursues a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling.
