Provisional ballots to be considered
Douglas County commissioners will meet this morning to certify Tuesday’s Lawrence school district local option budget election.
Commissioners will consider 75 provisional ballots, which were called into question mostly because voters changed their addresses or went to the wrong polling place. The ballots could be important because “yes” votes on the LOB increase have a 53-vote lead.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the commission’s meeting room on the second floor of the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Mass.
Commissioners will also certify the Lecompton City Council and sales tax question election.
