A Lawrence staffing service today is working under a new name.

Express Employment Professionals is the new name for Express Personnel Services, part of an effort to better reflect the company’s service lines and direction for the future, said Robert J. Washatka, who owns the franchise in the Lawrence area.

The new name allows all Express staffing services, along with its human-resources and payroll services, to fit under the Express Employment Professionals umbrella.

“This is a positive change that demonstrates our commitment to providing our clients and associates with full-service employment solutions,” Washatka said.

The name change also comes with a new Web site: www.expresspros.com.

The Lawrence Express office began operation in 2001, and today serves Douglas, Jefferson and Franklin counties with temporary and full-time employees.

With 600 offices in four countries, Express employs 350,000 people each year. Sales for the Oklahoma City-based company totaled $1.8 billion in 2007.
