LHS grads to enter school’s hall of honor
Four Lawrence High School graduates will be inducted into the Lawrence Lions Alumni Association Hall of Honor during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday at LHS, 1901 La.
This year’s inductees:
¢ Jane Bodle, a 1977 graduate, who has appeared in Broadway productions since 1982.
¢ David G. Booth, a 1964 graduate, who is chairman, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Dimensional Fund Advisors, which he founded in 1981. The company has offices across the world.
¢ Brian McClendon, a 1982 graduate, who is vice president of Google Inc. and director of engineering for Google Earth.
¢ Chris Piper, a 1983 graduate, who started on Kansas University’s 1988 NCAA championship men’s basketball team. He is KU basketball’s radio color analyst and owns Grandstand Sportswear and Glassware in Lawrence.
The ceremony will be open to the public.
