Women’s Health Fair scheduled for Oct. 6
Health Care Access Clinic, Breast Cancer Awareness Group and Lawrence Memorial Hospital’s Breast Center will conduct a Women’s Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 6 at the clinic, 1920 Moodie Road.
Organizers say the event is intended to allow women unfamiliar with the clinic to become aware of the operation’s services, including annual breast examinations, mammograms and other medical care.
The fair, working under a theme of “You Deserve It,” will feature information about nutrition, exercise programs and therapy; and provide facials and chair massages. People attending the fair can receive a clinical breast exam on site; mammograms at LMH also may be scheduled.
Health Care Access provides medical care, referrals and medication to uninsured, low-income residents of Douglas County.
