Topeka ? Free State High’s volleyball team placed fourth Saturday in the Topeka Seaman Invitational.

The Firebirds fell to Silver Lake, 25-17, 13-25, 25-17, in the third-place match, after dropping their semifinal match to Topeka Seaman, 25-18, 25-23.

In pool play, the Firebirds defeated Holton, 18-25, 25-23, 25-19; Leavenworth, 25-16, 25-23; and lost to Topeka Hayden, 25-8, 25-12.

Free State (14-5) will play Monday at Gardner-Edgerton.
