Baldwin City ? Baldwin Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center will conduct a grand-opening celebration for the center’s new wellness unit from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the center, 1223 Orchard Lane in Baldwin City.

The celebration is open to the public and will include an open house, live music and food. A ribbon-cutting event is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The center, formerly known as Baldwin Care Center, is a skilled nursing center that has been serving residents in the Baldwin City area since 1969. The center now has 60 beds.

The wellness unit, with 13 beds, focuses on short-term care.
