Rollover wreck sends 17-year-old to hospital

The Kansas Highway Patrol, along with Douglas County Sheriff department and Baldwin City Police, worked an early morning accident around 7:00 a.m about 2 miles west of Baldwin, involving a one car roll over. The female driver was sent to a Kansas City hospital by Life Flight.

A 17-year-old Baldwin City girl was transported by air ambulance to Kansas University Hospital on Saturday morning following a single-vehicle, rollover accident, seen above, on U.S. Highway 56, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Kayla R. Knoll was driving a 2007 RAV4 eastbound on U.S. 56 about one-and-a-half miles west of Baldwin City when the vehicle left the southern side of the road, entered a corn field and rolled one time.

Knoll was wearing a seat belt at the time. She was in stable condition, according to Baldwin police.
