One person injured in two-vehicle wreck
One person was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital early Saturday following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of North 400 Road and East 1500 Road.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m., a northbound Ford was slowing as it neared the intersection when a westbound Mitsubishi pulled in front of the Ford and the cars collided, said Lt. Kari Wempe of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The female driver of the Mitsubishi was injured and taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She received a citation for failure to yield, Wempe said.
The driver of the Ford was not injured in the accident.
