Bert Nash receives award for housing

Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center has received a 2007 Ad Astra Award for Haven House, an innovative housing program.

The award was presented at the recent 2007 Kansas Housing Conference in Hutchinson.

The Ad Astra Awards for Excellence in Housing and Community Development honor groups developing affordable housing to meet the daily needs of low and moderate-income Kansans.

Haven House is a newly renovated five-bedroom house owned by Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority, rented and managed by the Bert Nash Center. The housing authority also received an award for its participation in the program.
