What she did: For the second meet of the 2007 season, the Firebirds traveled to Omaha, Neb., to participate in the Millard South invitational, where Kilwein finished third overall with a time of 15:30. Her finish helped pace Free State to a third-place team finish, as well.

What he did: In an attempt to atone for a subpar Week 1, the LHS tailback ran like a man possessed in a 28-0, Week 2 victory over Olathe Northwest. Sims carried the ball 26 times for 146 yards, including eight times on the Lions first two possessions, and set the tone for the night.
