Fairgrounds meeting set on wetlands issues

The kickoff meeting of an organization dealing with wetlands protection will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss natural resource issues, concerns and challenges facing the Lower Kansas River Watershed and start the Wetlands Restoration and Protection Strategy, called WRAPS.
