Zero sum?
To the editor:
Bob Eye stated, “Coal interests and natural gas interests are in a ‘zero sum’ battle.” “Zero sum” is a special case of a constant sum game. The best illustration is a game of matching pennies. The winnings of one player are matched exactly by the losses of another. The constant to which the winnings sum is zero. Why does Bob Eye and his “bunch” support natural gas over coal when he has just publicly claimed that coal equals natural gas?
