Tax on tax

To the editor:

In regard to the intangibles tax suggested by one of our city commissioners. This was soundly rejected in 1980 by Lawrence, Eudora and Douglas County voters and I believe also in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Shawnee County and Johnson County.

It appears they are really turning the rocks over to find a couple dollars. Also the Kansas legislators rejected this idea. Check the Journal-World archives in June and July of 1980.

How many times do you have to vote down a law? Tax on tax is really unfair.
