This year’s Ottawa Veterans Day Parade will start at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 10.

The Veterans Day Parade Committee is extending an invitation to all veterans of Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom to be the parade grand marshals. Transportation will be provided for veterans. For more information, call Harold Mayes at (785) 242-5419 or (785) 418-4237.

After the parade, several activities will feature World War II re-enactors and the Kansas River Gang. There also will be military displays and music.

The Marine Corps Ball will follow all of the festivities. The Ottawa Country Club will host a banquet and dancing in a celebration of the 232nd birthday of the Marines.
