Fine festival
To the editor:
This is a couple of days behind, perhaps, but my husband and I just returned home to Virginia after spending a long weekend in Lawrence. Our daughter and her family live there, but this time the purpose of our visit was to attend the River City Reading Festival.
What a wonderful experience we had. Lawrence should be very proud of Kassie Edwards, members of Altrusa and the local food vendors, as well as many others who cooperated to make the festival so terrific. I hope it will be an annual event.
