Obama campaign opens local office
A Lawrence office for the Barack Obama presidential campaign has opened in Hillcrest Shopping Center, Ninth and Iowa streets. The office is at 925 Iowa, Suite L.
Today, Lawrence will be one of four sites in Kansas where the Obama campaign will conduct door-to-door canvassing. Campaign literature will be left in the doors. In Lawrence, the canvass begins at 2 p.m. Other canvassing locations will be in Johnson County, Wichita and Manhattan.
