Kansas University sophomore guard-forward Danielle McCray was one of 13 players honored Wednesday when the Big 12 Conference handed out its preseason women’s basketball honors. McCray, one of three returning starters to the Jayhawks’ lineup, was named to the honorable mention list after averaging 10.5 points and 4.8 rebounds during her freshman season at KU.

Those named to the all-Big 12 first team were: Courtney Paris (Oklahoma), Jackie McFarland (Colorado), Kelsey Griffin (Nebraska) and A’Quonesia Franklin and Takia Starks (Texas A&M).
