Basic values
To the editor:
Politically, I am first of all a Kansan. I believe in the work ethic, the value of the Constitution of the United States of America and the fact that we, citizens of a democratic nation, believe in honor over results. It was how we separated ourselves from barbaric nations.
This past week, we had to accept the fact that the Blackwater mercenaries were paid for by tax dollars; we had to accept the fact that George Bush approved a memo that allowed prisoners held in our custody to be tortured.
When do we get back to basic values?
