Lawrence resident Bill Sampson, a partner in the Kansas City, Mo., office of Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, recently was honored as a top product-liability lawyer worldwide by London-based publisher Who’s Who Legal for the second consecutive year.

Sampson, one of six individuals from the firm to be so honored, has tried more than 80 jury cases in federal, state and military courts and tribunals and has been active nationally and internationally in the defense of civil litigation. He has taught nearly 100 programs on trial practice, litigation strategy and legal writing.

He is former national president of DRI, a national organization considered the “voice of the defense bar.”

Sampson earned his bachelor’s and law degrees from Kansas University.
