Olathe South blanks Free State soccer, 3-0
Olathe ? Olathe South handed Free State’s soccer team its third straight setback, 3-0, on Tuesday night.
The Falcons, whose only two defeats have come against top-ranked Olathe East, controlled the early portions of the game and led 3-0 at halftime.
“We played much better the last 50 minutes of the game and created some scoring opportunities and defended much better,” Free State coach Jason Pendleton said. “This was by the far the best team we have played up to this point, and after we adjusted to their speed and overall athleticism, we competed quite well.”
The Firebirds fell to 6-4. They will entertain Blue Valley at 4 p.m. Thursday.
