Commerce Bank sets Shred Fest for Oct. 13

Commerce Bank, in partnership with Midwest Shredding Service, will conduct a secure, on-site document-shredding event Oct. 13 at the bank’s branch at 955 Iowa St.

A mobile shredder truck will be on site from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing reliable document destruction services.

The event is free and open to the public.

Commerce Bank is conducting the Shred Fest as part of Small Business Appreciation Month. Organizers say the event is designed for owners and employees of small businesses to safely destroy old documents and industrial materials, such as compact discs and diskettes.

Commerce Bank is the principal subsidiary of Commerce Bancshares Inc., a $15.5 billion regional bank holding company. Commerce has operations in about 360 locations in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma and Colorado; the bank also has subsidiaries involved in mortgage banking, credit-related insurance, venture capital and real estate activities.
