Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ An 18-year-old Lawrence man reported a burglary and theft to Lawrence police on Tuesday. A 10-inch JL Audio subwoofer worth $1,200 was reported stolen and $1,000 in damage to the tailgate and latch of a Ford Explorer was also reported. The crime occurred between noon and 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of W. 21st Street.
¢ A 2003 Mazda worth $14,000 was recovered Wednesday, the same day it was reported stolen to Lawrence police. The clutch of the car was reported damaged for an estimated loss of $1,000. A 21-year-old Lawrence man reported the crime occurred between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 12:54 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Louisiana Street.
¢ A 40-year-old Lawrence woman reported a $4,100 theft of furniture to Lawrence police on Tuesday. Items reported stolen were two wooden book shelves, a large cherry China cabinet and a large cherry armoire. The crime occurred between noon and 2 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Woodgate Place.
