Lawrence ? Douglas County Planning Commission will consider approving plans for a new apartment complex in southern Lawrence.

Planning commissioners at their Monday evening meeting will consider a rezoning request and preliminary plat for The Exchange, an apartment complex slated for 63 acres at the intersection of 31st Street and Ousdahl Road.

Planning commissioners also will deal with several other issues during a meeting on Wednesday evening, including:

l Approval of the Southeast Area Plan, which would guide growth for the area southeast of 23rd Street and O’Connell Road.

l Reconsideration of the revised Southern Development Plan, which plans growth for an area generally south of 31st Street in Lawrence.

l Approval of the Farmland Industries Redevelopment Plan.

Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. on both Monday and Wednesday at City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets.
