Kidnapping charges were filed Monday in Douglas County District Court against a Topeka man stemming from an incident on Nov. 10. when five people – including two children – were held in an apartment for hours.

Aaron E. Streitberger, 36, is being held in Douglas County Jail on one count of aggravated kidnapping and four charges of kidnapping. His bond was set at $250,000. His next court date is Monday.

Streitberger was arrested Friday by Lawrence police. He was out on bond awaiting a Nov. 28 trial on another crime.

Two women were charged last week in the kidnapping case and face the same charges. Runita J. Bell, 32, and Annetta D. Moten, 40, both of Lawrence, are scheduled for preliminary hearings on Monday.
