Topekan arrested in apartment thefts
A 32-year-old Topeka man was arrested Saturday night for burglaries that have occurred in Lawrence since August, according to Lawrence police Sgt. Dave Hubbel.
Hubbel said the suspect, Robert Lee Davis, is accused of stealing mostly laptop computers and some miscellaneous items such as credit and bank cards from apartment complexes.
According to Douglas County Jail booking records Davis, was arrested on charges of burglary in a building dwelling, theft less than $500, criminal damage to property less than $500 and no proof of insurance.
