Papa Keno’s Pizzeria, 1035 Mass., is temporarily closed after an electrical short caused a fire Saturday.

At 1:40 p.m. Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical personnel responded to an electrical fire.

Chief Rob Kort said there was a short near an electric meter where service goes into the building, which caused the meter box to catch fire.

Westar Energy was called to turn off electricity.

Kort said Papa Keno’s will be closed until the problem is fixed.
