The man in custody after barricading himself at his home south of Lawrence for 10 hours Friday was taken to the Douglas County Jail about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Darrel Maley, 57, was arrested on an arson charge. His bond is set at $150,000.
Local law enforcement surrounded Maley's home at 688 E. 1375 Road about 1 p.m. Friday after receiving a call about a distraught person at the property.
Police negotiated with Maley for 10 hours. His home and an outbuilding eventually went up in flames. About 11 p.m. he was taken into custody and hospitalized for an assessment.
No one was injured in the fire. No details were available Wednesday about a court date.
