Thad Allender, photo director at the Lawrence Journal-World, discussed his career in photography with the members of Angle on Nov. 1 and offered tips and techniques for blossoming photographers. While showing his Web site and gallery of photos, he highlighted different elements of photography, such as depth of field, lighting and the use of subjects. Allender encouraged any future photographers always to have a camera and to document daily life.
