Conservation district taking applications

The Douglas County Conservation District is conducting a Water Resources and Non-Point Source Program cost-share sign-up through Nov. 15.

Landowners with concerns about natural resources on their properties are encouraged to visit with district officials to discuss potential solutions and potential financial assistance from the state to carry them out.

Projects are judged on which ones would provide the most effective land treatment and/or protection of water quality.

Applications will be accepted at the Douglas County Conservation District office, 1217 Biltmore Drive, Suite 100, Lawrence.
