Health Care Access boosts nursing care
Susan Andersen has joined Health Care Access Clinic, Lawrence, as an adult advanced registered nurse practitioner.
The position – financed with a grant from the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure – will allow the clinic to expand outreach and women’s health appointments for uninsured women in Douglas County.
Prior to joining Health Care Access, Andersen practiced nursing for 18 years at Internal Medicine Group, Lawrence. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Kansas University and received the KU School of Nursing’s 2006 Nurse Practitioner Colleen Kosiak Clinical Excellence Award.
Andersen continues to work part time at College Rehab Medicine, Lawrence.
