Zarco 66 president talks to tech group

Scott Zaremba, president of Zarco 66 Inc., Lawrence, served on a panel of convenience stores executives addressing the NACS-tech Trade Show and Conference, conducted April 3-May 2 in Nashville, Tenn.

NACStech is an annual technology conference for convenience store owners and petrol-eum companies, conducted by the National Association of Convenience Stores.

Zaremba served on a panel that featured information from several executives who already use advanced multimedia technologies at their gasoline pumps to help boost marketing for products and services to customers.

Zarco 66, with eight locations, is beginning to test market fuel pumps with built-in video screens and speakers. The pumps allow customers to view current specials in the store, as well as print out coupons for in-store promotions.

Zaremba is a member of the ConocoPhillips Technology Steering committee. Through his position on the committee, he helps promote new technologies used both outdoors and inside convenience stores for the ConocoPhillips brand.
